The 10th  Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship took place from 3 to 14 September 2024, in Amman, Jordan. This marked the fourth occasion that the competition was hosted by the Jordan Handball Federation (JHF), having previously hosted it in 2008, 2014, and 2018. The championship featured players born in 2006 and after. The championship was previously scheduled to be held in Shiraz, Islamic Republic of Iran, but was moved to Amman, Jordan due to the security situation and safety concerns in I. R. Iran.

Furthermore, the championship served as a qualifying event for the 11th IHF Men’s Youth (U19) Handball World Championship to be held in Egypt from 6 to 17 August 2025. The top five teams from this competition will secured qualification spots for the World Championship.

The Republic of Korea entered as the defending champion, having clinched the title three times in 2005, 2014, and 2022. Notably, Japan and the Republic of Korea were the only teams to have participated in all nine previous editions of the championship. Additionally, I.R. Iran, Bahrain, and Qatar participated in eight editions, missing only one. The Republic of Korea accumulated a total of seven medals in the nine editions, including three gold, one silver, and three bronze medals. Similarly, Qatar and Japan each secured a total of five medals.

The draw took place on Thursday, 15 August 2024, from 17:00 hours onwards at the headquarters of the Jordan Handball Federation, located at Princess Sumaya Hall, Al-Hussein Youth City, Amman, Jordan.
