The 3rd Asian Women’s Youth Beach Handball Championship took place from 17 to 25 October 2024 in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand. This marked the third consecutive time that the competition was hosted by the Handball Association of Thailand (HAT), which had hosted the event since the inaugural edition in 2016. The championship featured players born in 2008 and 2009.
Furthermore, the championship served as a qualifying event for the 3rd IHF Women’s Youth (U17) Beach Handball World Championship, to be held in Hammamet, Tunisia, from 17 to 22 June 2025. The top two (2) teams from this competition secured qualification spots for the World Championship.
Thailand entered as the defending champion, having won the title in 2022 on home sand. The inaugural edition was won by P. R. China in 2016.
The draw took place on Monday, 20 May 2024, from 11:30 hours onwards at the headquarters of the Asian Handball Federation in South Surrah, Kuwait. The following were present during the draw ceremony in addition to the representatives of the participating teams:
