The draw for the 10th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship took place on Thursday, 15 August 2024, from 17:00 onwards at the Jordan Handball Federation headquarters, located at Princess Sumaya Hall, Amman, Jordan.
The draw ceremony was attended by Asian Handball Federation (AHF) Technical Director Jasem Mohammed Al-Theyab (Kuwait), Jordan Handball Federation President Prof. Dr. Taiysir Mansi, AHF Assistant Technical Director Abdullah Jasem Al-Theyab (Kuwait), and representatives of the participating teams.
The 13 teams were divided into four groups. Host nation Jordan exercised their right to select their group, opting for Group B.

Group B: Jordan, Japan, India
Group C: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates
Group D: I. R. Iran, Kuwait, Chinese Taipei, P. R. China
The 10th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship is scheduled to take place from 3 to 14 September 2024, at the Princess Sumaya Hall in Amman, Jordan. Additionally, the championship will serve as a qualifying event for the 11th IHF Men’s Youth (U19) Handball World Championship in Slovenia, scheduled for July/August 2025. The top five teams from this competition will secure qualification spots for the World Championship.
The championship was previously scheduled to be held in Shiraz, Islamic Republic of Iran but was moved to Amman, Jordan due to the security situation and safety concerns in I. R. Iran.

Following the draw, the hosting contract was signed between the Asian Handball Federation (AHF) and the Jordan Handball Federation (JHF). The contract was signed by Technical Director Jasem Mohammed Al-Theyab, on behalf of AHF, and President Prof. Dr. Taiysir Mansi, on behalf of JHF, formalising the agreement for Jordan to host the championship
