18th Asian Men’s Junior (U21) Handball Championship set to throw-off tomorrow

Tomorrow marks the beginning of the 18th Asian Men’s Junior (U21) Handball Championship in Amman. Ahead of the matches, a technical meeting was held at Mövenpick Hotel, Amman, starting at 4:00 PM local time, to prepare for the championship.

Representatives from the Asian Handball Federation (AHF), Jordan Handball Federation (JHF), and teams attending the championship discussed important details. Notable attendees included:

  • AHF Vice President Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan Ghanima (Jordan)
  • AHF Treasurer Bader Mohammed Al-Theyab (Kuwait)
  • AHF Executive Director Dr. Ahmad Abu Al-Lail (Kuwait)
  • JHF President Prof. Dr. Taiysir Mansi
  • Chairman of AHF Playing Rules and Referees Commission, Saleh Bin Ashour (United Arab Emirates)
  • AHF Assistant Technical Director Abdullah Jasem Al-Theyab (Kuwait)
  • JHF Competition Manager Mohammed Shonewer

The matches will be held at Princess Sumaya Hall in Amman, with 13 teams from across Asia competing. They’ll be aiming not just for the championship title but also for four (4) spots in the 25th IHF Men’s Junior (U21) Handball World Championship set for Poland in June/July 2025.
