The 20th Asian Games was a multi-sport event held from 19 September to 4 October 2026 in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Nagoya was the third Japanese city to host the Asian Games, after Tokyo in 1958 and Hiroshima in 1994.
The women’s handball competition took place at the Kasugai City Gymnasium and Toyoda Gosei Memorial Gymnasium ENTRIO.
The Republic of Korea won its eighth gold medal in the women’s handball competition, while defending champions and hosts Japan won the silver medal and the People’s Republic of China won the bronze medal.
