Women's Handball

The 20th Asian Games will be a multi-sport event which will be held from 19 September to 4 October 2026 around Aichi Prefecture in Japan. Nagoya will be the third Japanese city to host the Asian Games, after Tokyo in 1958 and Hiroshima in 1994.

The women’s handball competition will take place at the Kasugai City Gymnasium and Toyoda Gosei Memorial Gymnasium ENTRIO.

The draw took place on Thursday, 23 July 2026 at Nagoya Hilton Hotel in the presence of the following in addition to the representatives of the participating NOCs:

  1. Mohammad Tayyab Ikram, Chair of OCA Coordination Committee for the 20th Asian Games
  2. His Excellency Hideaki Ōmura, President of AINAGOC, and Governor of Aichi Prefecture
  3. Ichirō Hirosawa, Mayor of Nagoya City
  4. Junichi Kawai, Commissioner of Japan Sports Agency
  5. Yuko Mitsuya, Vice President of Japanese Olympic Committee 
  6. Abdullah Jasem Al-Theyab, AHF Technical Delegate
