The draw was held on 14 May 2022, at 18:00 hrs. at the Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre, Kondapur, Hyderabad, in the presence of the Treasurer of the Asian Handball Federation (AHF) Bader Mohammad Al-Theyab (Kuwait), AHF Executive Director Dr. Ahmad Abu Al-Lail (Kuwait), and the President of the Handball Federation of India (HFI) Jaganmohan Rao.
