Al-Najma win Bahrain Handball League title

Al-Najma Club retained the Khalid bin Hamad Al-Khalifa Bahrain Handball League title after defeating Al-Ahli Club 32 – 26 in the final match of the league last night.
Al-Najma got off to a strong start last night leading 16 – 9 at half-time. Despite several attempts by Al-Ahli to stage a comeback, Al-Najma fended off their opponents to win by six goals.
The defending champions continued their unbeaten run throughout the 2021-22 season, winning all the 20 matches to collect 60 points, while runners-up Al-Ahli Club have 51 points. Al-Shabab Club finished third with 49 points.
President of Bahrain Handball Federation (BHF) Ali Mohamed Isa Eshaqi and Chief Executive of the Bahrain General Sports Authority Dr. Abdulrahman Askar honoured the winners in the presence of the President of Al-Najma Club Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa.
