The 9th Asian Men’s Youth (U19) Handball Championship has been awarded to the Bahrain Handball Federation. The championship is scheduled to be held from 16 to 27 August 2022 in Bahrain, with players born in the year 2004 and after being eligible to participate.

The top five (5) teams from the championship will directly qualify for the 10th IHF Men’s Youth World Handball Championship, to be held in Croatia in 2023.

Bahrain are the defending champions, while Qatar, the Republic of Korea and Bahrain have won the championship two (2) times in history.
