Dates set for draw of 9th Asian Men’s & Women’s Beach Handball Championship

The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) has announced the date and venue for the draw of the 9th Asian Men’s & Women’s Beach Handball Championship.
The draw ceremony will take place at the Hotel Mercure Nusa Dua on Tuesday, 24th January 2023 at 15:00 hrs. (local time). The AHF Executive Director, Dr. Ahmad Abu Al-Lail (Kuwait), and the representatives of the participating teams will be attending the draw ceremony.
The 9th Asian Men’s & Women’s Beach Handball Championship is scheduled to be held in Bali, Indonesia, from 10th to 19th March 2023.
Men’s participating teams:
Pot 1: Indonesia, I.R. Iran
Pot 2: Qatar, Vietnam
Pot 3: Oman, Philippines
Pot 4: Kuwait, Hong Kong (China), Saudi Arabia, Republic of Korea, P.R. China
Women’s participating teams:
Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong (China), Philippines
The winning teams of both the men’s and women’s competitions will qualify for the beach handball competition of the 2nd ANOC World Beach Games, which will be held in Bali, Indonesia, from 5th to 12th August 2023. The top two (2) teams from both genders will qualify for the 11th IHF Men’s & Women’s Beach Handball World Championships, to be held in June/July 2024.
