Dates set for draw of the 9th IHF Women’s Youth (U18) Handball World Championship 2022

The International Handball Federation (IHF) has announced the date and venue for the draw of the 9th IHF Women’s Youth (U18) Handball World Championship, which will take place in North Macedonia, from 30th July to 10th August 2022.
The draw will take place at the International Handball Federation (IHF) Head Office in Basel, Switzerland on Thursday, 2 June 2022 at 15:00 CEST, with a live stream being available via the IHF social media channels. Following the draw, the match schedule will be set up, submitted and made available in due course.
This will be the first-ever edition of the competition featuring 32 teams, with 20 teams coming from Europe, five from Asia, four from Africa and three from South and Central America.
Asia will be represented by five teams in the championship, i.e., the Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Korea, Uzbekistan, and India.

Pot 1: Hungary, Germany, Islamic Republic of Iran, Denmark, Croatia, Norway, Romania, Montenegro
Pot 2: Switzerland, Portugal, France, Sweden, North Macedonia, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Netherlands
Pot 3: Egypt, Austria, Brazil, Slovakia, Argentina, Guinea, Uzbekistan, Algeria
Pot 4: Republic of Korea, India, Senegal, Uruguay, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Slovenia, Spain
