Dates set for draw of the Asian Men’s Junior & Youth Handball Championships Bahrain 2022

The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) has announced the date and venue for the draw of the 17th Asian Men’s Junior (U21) Handball Championship and the 9th Asian Men’s Youth (U19) Handball Championship, which will take place in Bahrain from 16 to 27 July 2022 and 16 to 27 August 2022, respectively.
The draw will take place on Wednesday, 8 June 2022 at 19:30 hrs. at the Millennium Hotel and Convention Centre, Salmiya, Kuwait. Treasurer of the Asian Handball Federation (AHF) Bader Mohammed Al-Theyab (Kuwait) will be attending the draw ceremony accompanied by the AHF Executive Director Dr. Ahmad Abu Al-Lail (Kuwait).
17th Asian Men’s Junior (U21) Handball Championship participating teams:
Pot 1: Bahrain, Republic of Korea
Pot 2: Japan, Saudi Arabia
Pot 3: I. R. Iran, India
Pot 4: Kuwait, Pakistan
The top 4 teams from the junior championship will qualify for the 24th IHF Men’s Junior (U21) Handball World Championship to be held from 20th June to 2nd July 2023 in Germany / Greece.
9th Asian Men’s Youth (U19) Handball Championship participating teams:
Pot 1: Bahrain, Japan
Pot 2: Saudi Arabia, I. R. Iran
Pot 3: India, Qatar
Pot 4: United Arab Emirates
Pot 5: Iraq, Republic of Korea, Kuwait, Uzbekistan
The top 5 teams from the youth championship will qualify for the 10th IHF Men’s Youth (U19) Handball World Championship to be held in July / August 2023 in Croatia.
