The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) is pleased to announce that the draw for the 27th Asian Men’s Club League Handball Championship will take place on Thursday, 22 August 2024, from 19:00 hours onwards. The draw will be held at the headquarters of the Qatar Handball Association (QHA), located at Al-Duhail Handball Sport Hall in Doha, Qatar.
A total of 11 clubs from 9 countries across Asia will be participating in the competition, scheduled to be held in Doha, Qatar, from 13 to 24 November 2024. The clubs will be divided into two groups, with Group A having 5 clubs and Group B having 6 clubs.
Participating clubs: Al-Rayyan SC (Qatar), Al-Duhail SC (Qatar), Khaleej Club (Saudi Arabia), Al-Kuwait SC (Kuwait), Kazma SC (Kuwait), Sharjah SC (United Arab Emirates), Ahli Sidab Club (Oman), Al-Shabab Club (Bahrain), Uzbechka Club (UZB), Al-Karkh SC (Iraq), Sanat Mes Kerman (I. R. Iran)
This marks the fifth occasion that Qatar will host the competition, having previously hosted the 15th to 18th editions. The return to Qatar comes after over eight years, with the country last hosting the 18th edition in 2016.
In addition to the coveted title, the championship will also serve as a qualification event for the 18th IHF Men’s Handball Club World Championship, with the winner of the championship qualifying for the event to be held in New Administrative Capital, Egypt, in 2025.
