The draw for the 3rd Asian Men’s and Women’s Youth (U17) Beach Handball Championship took place on Monday, 20 May 2024, from 11:00 onwards at the headquarters of the Asian Handball Federation in South Surrah, Kuwait.
The draw ceremony was held in the presence of Asian Handball Federation (AHF) Finance Director and International Handball Federation (IHF) Council Member Bader Mohammed Al-Theyab (Kuwait), AHF Technical Director Jasem Mohammed Al-Theyab (Kuwait), AHF Assistant Technical Director Abdullah Jasem Al-Theyab (Kuwait), and representatives from the participating teams.
Four women’s and seven men’s teams will compete in a single group in a round-robin format to determine the winner. The draw results are as follows:
Women’s:
Group A: Thailand, Hong Kong-China, P.R. China, Indonesia
Men’s:
Group A: Thailand, I.R. Iran, Jordan, Qatar, Oman, P.R. China, Indonesia
The 3rd Asian Men’s and Women’s Youth (U17) Beach Handball Championship is scheduled to take place from 16 to 25 October 2024, in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand. This championship will also serve as a qualifying event for the 3rd IHF Men’s and Women’s Youth (U17) Beach Handball World Championships, to be held in Hammamet, Tunisia, from 17 to 22 June 2025. The top three men’s teams and the top two women’s teams from this competition will secure qualification spots for the World Championships.
