The draw for the 10th Asian Women’s Youth Handball Championship was held on May 2, 2023, at 13:00 hrs. at the Asian Handball Federation Headquarters, South Surrah, Kuwait.
The following dignitaries were present during the draw ceremony, in addition to representatives of the participating teams:
- Bader Mohammed Al-Theyab (Kuwait), AHF Treasurer
- Dr. Ahmad Abu Al-Lail (Kuwait), AHF Executive Director
- Anandeshwar Pandey, Executive Director of Handball Association India
The eleven (11) teams who will compete for the title this time are divided into two groups. As the host, India has the right to choose the group in which they want to play.
Draw results:
Group A: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Republic of Korea, P.R. China, Nepal
Group B: India, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Bangladesh, Hong, Kong (China), Pakistan
The 10th Asian Women’s Youth Handball Championship is scheduled to be held in Noida, India, from July 15 – 24, 2023.
The top five (5) teams from the competition will qualify for the 10th IHF Women’s Youth (U18) Handball World Championship, to be held in July or August 2024.
