Draw results of handball competition at 5th Islamic Solidarity Games

The draw for the men’s and women’s handball competitions at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games was held yesterday, on 3rd July 2022.
The men’s handball competition will feature 7 teams, with 4 teams coming from Asia; 2 from Europe; and 1 from Africa. On the other hand, the women’s handball competition will see 8 teams, with 4 teams from Asia and 2 teams each from Europe and Africa.
The draw was conducted with the assistance of Turkish handball player Can Çelebi.

Group A: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Morocco, Iraq
Group B: Turkey, Islamic Republic of Iran, Azerbaijan
Women’s handball competition
Group A: Senegal, Bangladesh, Turkey, Uzbekistan
Group B: Cameroon, Afghanistan, Islamic Republic of Iran, Azerbaijan
The handball competition at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games will take place from 7th to 14th August 2022 in Selçuklu Municipality International Sports Hall, Konya, Turkey.
