Draw results of the 11th IWGA World Games beach handball events

The draw for the 11th IWGA World Games men’s and women’s beach handball events was held today, on 2 June 2022, at the IHF Head Office in Basel, Switzerland.
Eight men’s and eight women’s teams who will compete for the gold this time are divided into two groups of four teams each. The draw was conducted by Hristo Boskoski, IHF office member responsible for beach handball.
As the host, the United States of America has the right to choose the group in which they want to play.

Men’s beach handball event
Group A: Denmark, Qatar, New Zealand, Croatia
Group B: Brazil, United States of America, Argentina, Puerto Rico
Women’s beach handball event
Group A: Argentina, United States of America, Australia, Denmark
Group B: Norway, Germany, Vietnam, Mexico
The 11th IWGA World Games will take place from 7 to 17 July 2022 in Birmingham, United States of America. Beach handball event will take place in one of the most spectacular venues ever to host the sport, the National Historic Landmark of ‘Sloss Furnaces’ in Birmingham.
