Indonesia to host 9th Asian Men’s & Women’s Beach Handball Championship

The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) has awarded the hosting rights of the 9th Asian Men’s & Women’s Beach Handball Championship to the Indonesia Handball Association (ABTI). The championship is scheduled to be held from 10th to 19th March 2023 in Bali, Indonesia.
The top 2 teams from both the men’s and women’s categories will directly qualify for the 10th IHF Men’s & Women’s Beach Handball World Championship to be held in 2024.
The Islamic Republic of Iran and Vietnam are the defending champions in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively. Qatar in the men’s category is the record title holder, having won the championship five times, whereas Thailand in the women’s category has won the championship three times.
