The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) is pleased to announce that the hosting rights for both the 8th Asian Women’s Club League Handball Championship and the 1st Asian Women’s U16 Handball Championship have been awarded to the Kazakhstan Handball Federation. The two championships will be conducted simultaneously from 7 to 16 May 2026 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
This allocation marks the seventh occasion that Kazakhstan will host the Asian Women’s Club League Handball Championship, having successfully staged every edition of the competition with the exception of the second edition.
The 1st Asian Women’s U16 Handball Championship will be the inaugural edition of this new continental competition. Players born between 2010 and 7 May 2011 will be eligible to participate. The championship will also serve as the Asian qualification event for the 1st IHF Women’s U16 Handball World Championship, with top two (2) teams qualifying event to be held later in 2026, offering young talents a direct pathway to the global stage.
The Asian Handball Federation invites all AHF Member Federations interested in participating in either or both competitions to complete their registration on or before 5 March 2026.
