The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) and the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) have confirmed the match schedule for the 9th Asian Men’s & Women’s Beach Handball Championship.
Eleven men’s teams who will compete for the title this time are divided into two groups.
Men’s competition
Group A: Islamic Republic of Iran, Qatar, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia
Group B: Indonesia, Vietnam, Oman, Hong Kong (China), Kuwait, People’s Republic of China
In the women’s competition this time, four (4) teams will compete for the gold in a round-robin format, playing each other twice.
Women’s competition
Group A: Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Hong Kong (China)
The 9th Asian Men’s & Women’s Beach Handball Championship will take place from 10 to 19 March 2023 in Bali, Indonesia. The competition will also serve as a qualification tournament for the Beach Handball World Championship, with the top two teams from the competition qualifying for the 11th IHF Men’s & Women’s Beach Handball World Championship, which will take place in June or July 2024. The winner of the competition will also qualify for the beach handball competition of the 2nd ANOC World Beach Games, which will be held in Bali, Indonesia, from 5th to 12th August 2023.
