Pakistan and India to compete in 1st World & European Six-a-Side Wheelchair Handball Championship

Pakistan and India will represent Asia at the 1st World & European Six-a-Side Wheelchair Handball Championship, to be held in Leiria, Portugal, from 18 to 20 November 2022. The competition will feature nine teams from two continental confederations, i.e., Asia and Europe.
The competition will feature seven European teams (Croatia, Portugal, Hungary, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, and Spain) and two Asian teams (Pakistan and India).
The competition is scheduled to take place in the Pousos Sports Hall in Leiria. The participating teams were drawn into two preliminary groups as follows:
Group A: Croatia, Pakistan, Hungary, Norway, Spain
Group B: Portugal, India, Netherlands, Romania
The top two teams from each group will then face each other in the semifinals.
According to the regulations, the competition will be played with mixed teams, which means that each team will need at least three female players in the squad, with one female player on the court at all times.
