The Executive Committee of the Asian Handball Federation (AHF) is pleased to announce the hosting rights for two prominent handball championships. The 18th Asian Men’s Junior (U21) Handball Championship has been awarded to the Saudi Arabian Handball Federation, and the 10th Asian Men’s Youth (U19) Handball Championship to the Islamic Republic of Iran Handball Federation.
The 18th Asian Men’s Junior (U21) Handball Championship is scheduled to take place from 20 – 29 July 2024 in Dammam, the capital of the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Dammam, the fourth most populous city, is set to witness intense competition as teams vie for victory. This championship will also serve as a crucial qualification tournament for the 25th IHF Men’s Junior (U21) Handball World Championship in Poland in June/July 2025.
Following closely, the 10th Asian Men’s Youth (U19) Handball Championship is slated for 25 August – 3 September 2024 in Tehran, the capital and largest city of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The tournament in Tehran will not only showcase youthful talent but also serve as a qualification event for the 11th IHF Men’s Youth (U19) Handball World Championship in Slovenia in July/August 2025.
