Syed Abul Hassan, a prominent figure from Pakistan, played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Asian Handball Federation (AHF). Serving as the inaugural AHF Secretary General from August 26, 1974, to November 26, 2000, he contributed significantly to the development and growth of handball in the Asian region.

In addition to his role in the AHF, Syed Abul Hassan held key positions in the International Handball Federation (IHF). He served as an IHF Council Member from 1988 to 1992, showcasing his commitment to the global advancement of the sport. Furthermore, he assumed the role of Vice-President within the Pakistan Handball Federation, demonstrating his dedication to the sport’s progress at the national level.
