The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) informs all Member Federations, participating teams, and stakeholders that the 11th AHF Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship, scheduled to be held from 10 to 21 August 2026, will be relocated from its originally designated host city of Andijan, Uzbekistan.

The championship was initially awarded to the Handball Federation of Uzbekistan (HFU) and was set to take place in Andijan, serving as the qualification event for the 12th IHF Men’s Youth (U19) Handball World Championship 2027. A total of eleven teams are expected to participate in the competition, namely Bahrain, P. R. China, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong-China, Islamic Republic of Iran, Japan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan.

Due to unforeseen organizational circumstances and after careful consideration and consultation, the AHF Executive Committee has decided to relocate the championship to an alternative host country. The details regarding the new host and venue will be announced in due course.

The AHF appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all Member Federations and participating teams and remains committed to ensuring the successful organization of the championship.
