Draw results of 19th Asian Women's Handball Championship

The draw for the 19th Asian Women’s Handball Championship was held today, on Saturday, 27 August 2022, at 11:00 hrs. at the Grand Swiss-Belhotel, Seef, Bahrain.
The following dignitaries were present during the draw ceremony, in addition to representatives of the participating teams:
- AHF Treasurer Bader Mohammed Al-Theyab (Kuwait)
- AHF Executive Director Dr. Ahmad Abu Al-Lail (Kuwait)
- AHF Council Member Choi Jung-suck (Korea)
- Vice-President of Korea Handball Federation (KHF) Kim Jin-soo
As the host, Korea has the right to choose the group in which they want to play.

Group A: Republic of Korea, Islamic Republic of Iran, Uzbekistan, India, Australia
Group B: Japan, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, P.R. China, Thailand
About the championship
The 19th Asian Women’s Handball Championship is scheduled to be held in Incheon and Seoul in the Republic of Korea from November 20 to December 1, 2022. The top 5 teams from the championship will qualify for the 26th IHF Women’s Handball World Championship to be held in Denmark / Norway / Sweden in December 2023.
