

The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) took part in a meeting of Asian Sports Federations held under the auspices of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Kuwait, on Sunday, 11 May 2025. The meeting brought together representatives from 30 Asian Federations in a unified initiative to further the development of sport across the continent.
The OCA was represented by Director General Dr. Husain A. H. Z. Al-Musallam (Kuwait), Chair of the IF/AF Relations Committee Mohammad Tayyab Ikram (Macau–China), Chair of the Sports Committee Song Luzeng (P.R. China), and Deputy Director General Vinod Kumar Tiwari (India).
The AHF delegation included Secretary General Muhammad Shafiq and IT Manager Mahmood Ahmed Khokhar.
Convened on the side-lines of the 45th OCA General Assembly, the meeting marked a new chapter in cooperation between the OCA and the Asian Federations. It served as a platform to reinforce shared objectives for the advancement of sports in Asia and to strengthen the impact and reach of multi-sport events across the region.
