The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) hereby announces the rescheduling of the 1st Asian Men’s U-17 Handball Championship, originally scheduled to be held from 1 to 11 July 2025 in Amman, Jordan. In light of the current regional circumstances, the championship will now be conducted from 15 to 25 September 2025 at the same location.
This decision has been taken after careful consideration by the AHF Executive Committee, following a thorough review of the security and political conditions prevailing in the region. The ongoing conflict between Israel and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Jordan’s geographical and strategic proximity to the affected area, have led to increasing concerns over the safety of the participating teams, referees, technical officials, etc.
The 1st Asian Men’s U-17 Handball Championship holds significant importance as it serves as the official Asian qualification event for the 1st IHF Men’s U-17 Handball World Championship, scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Morocco from 27 October to 2 November 2025.
