Re-Draw Conducted for 11th AHF Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship

The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) conducted a re-draw for the 11th AHF Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship following the withdrawal of Japan and Chinese Taipei from the competition due to unavoidable circumstances.

The re-draw was conducted online at the AHF Headquarters, South Surrah, Kuwait on Thursday, 13 August 2026 at 10:00 hrs. (Kuwait local time) in the presence of AHF President Mr. Bader Al-Theyab, President of Jordan Handball Federation Dr. Taysir Mansi, AHF Technical Director Mr. Jasem Al-Theyab, and representatives of the participating teams.

Following the re-draw, the remaining 10 participating teams have been divided into two groups of five teams each.

Group A: Republic of Korea, Bahrain, Jordan, India, and Uzbekistan

Group B: Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, I. R. Iran, Qatar, and Syria

The championship, which also serves as the Asian qualification event for the 12th IHF Men’s Youth Handball World Championship, is scheduled to be held from 20 to 31 August 2026 in Amman, Jordan.
