SK Sugargliders HC won Asian Women’s Club League Handball Championship

SK Sugargliders Handball Club of the Republic of Korea has won the 5th edition of the Asian Women’s Club League Handball Championship. Seven clubs from six countries competed in the event held at Dostyk Universal Sports Complex, Almaty, Kazakhstan, from 1st to 9th October 2022.

The competition saw the seven clubs play each other once in the round robin format in a single group.

SK Sugargliders HC (KOR) won all of their 6 matches and grabbed the maximum 12 points in the competition, as well as the winner’s trophy. Handball Club Dostyk (Kazakhstan) won the silver with 10 points in the group table, losing only one match against SK Sugargliders HC by 25–32. The hosts, Alatau Arulary Handball Club (Kazakhstan), won the bronze medal with 8 points.

Uzbechka Club (Uzbekistan) won three of their six matches in the competition, whereas Foolad Mobarakeh SSC (I.R. Iran) and Al-Qurain SC (Kuwait) won only two and one match in the competition, respectively. T-Sports Club (India) was not able to win a single match in the competition and finished in seventh and last position in the competition.
